Serious About Healing. (Not Serious About Ourselves.)
Our Story
It all began in a basement office with epic sunflower wallpaper. But of course it really began long, long, LONG ago...
Though unrelated by blood and separated by only 12 years, Talia is Angela’s niece. Soul family and human family, their favorite thing to do at family gatherings is make weird faces at each other from across the room.
Though their career interests appeared to share little in common at first, their lives have both shared a certain how do you say – chaos. Such is the life of the old soul. Both have journeyed through harrowing chronic illness, wild strings of career stops and starts, and the great existential question of how to be on this earth.
After both emerged from particularly challenging chapters over 2024-2025, Angela one day approached Talia at a family gathering and mysteriously mused, “perhaps we could be mutually beneficial to one other.” And thus a seed was planted which would soon morph into Enlightened, Apparently.
Which was never meant to be the name at all, but it’s funny how things have a way of working out in the end.
You can learn more about us below! We can’t wait to delight, excite and share the messy journey of humaning with you.

Let's Play.
Even as a child, I remember feeling the weight of the world – watching the news or reading the paper and thinking, there’s SO much work to be done! At the same time, when I wasn’t existentially worrying about the fate of the world, I was busy playing with my best friend and fellow child-entrepreneur, Nicole. We were constantly creating funny little businesses, clubs, and misguided nonprofits (like raising money to donate to Pizza Hut). One year we threw a Summer Carnival for the whole neighborhood, and another year we put on a Fall Festival. I think the only scheme our parents said a hard no to was when we asked if we could go door to door asking the neighbors for spare wood and nails so we could build ourselves a clubhouse. They probably thought we’d stab ourselves in the eye, and they were probably right. The point was always just pure fun and joy (and occasionally to make a little coin to bring to the toy store).
The experts always say to do what you loved to do as a child, so fast forward a few decades later when I found myself once again creating a funny little business called Moondance Wellness Coaching. What started out as fun and joy eventually gave way to a lot of frustration and limitation, and the biggest take away from that 6-year experience was that I would never do it all by myself again. I’d forgotten one of the key elements from my childhood experiences – playing WITH someone else. Schemes and dreams can be a lot of fun when shared with someone else. Plus, running a business is a hell of a lot of work, and it’s pretty impossible to be good at everything (though we try).
Woven through the entrepreneurial journey, adult life has been quite a journey of trying-trying-trying and getting a lot of nowhere until I’m finally forced to surrender and face the big hairy-scary fear I’ve been desperately trying to control, perfect, or run from. There’s been the Crohn’s disease journey that imploded and put me in the hospital facing my fears of intestinal surgery (three!) and intense meds; the marriage journey that imploded and had me facing my fear of separation; the career journey that imploded and had me facing my fear of insignificance. In all of these lived a deeper fear of failure, imperfection, worthlessness, and fucking it all up spiritually. But a funny thing happened every time I was forced (or finally chose) to surrender: healing. My body started to heal and eventually I got off of the meds (8 years later), my marriage started to heal and we didn’t separate after all, my career journey started to heal as my path crossed with Talia’s and we started doing something FUN. After surrender, without fail, things started to get better. Not what they teach you in the history books.
After all this intense humaning, at this point in my journey, I’m finding it hard to feel motivated to do things unless they are at least a little bit fun. Being serious about healing is important, but taking ourselves too seriously isn’t. On this trippy spiritual tour in Hawaii for my 40th birthday, I heard this transmission from the spirit realm: “Career, career, career…it’s just love, you’re just spreading love.” Like, get over yourself and stop trying to make it all such a big deal. Message received.
So, let's do this thing called humaning and see if we can't have some fun while we're at it!

Stay Weird, My Dudes
Hello fellow earthlings (and Enlightened, Apparently enthusists). Welcome to this weird shit show, I call life. My life started not-so-great: born to a young mother with a not-so-great take on parenting, I’ve spent much of my life taking care of others (and ignoring myself). Filled with chronic health issues (I call myself chronic, but iconic), life has been no shortage of “fun.”
But that all changed in December of 2025, after battling over a year of horrible migraines, and waves of jobs, it all came to a head with me ending up in grippy sock prison (voluntarily, and just short of enthusiastically). For me, it was grief but also relief, “this hell can’t get much lower.” And the break from life was just that, a break from life.
During and after this “little vacation,” I realized I couldn’t keep ignoring myself. So much of my life was just me pushing forward and using the negative emotions as motivation to keep it going. Instead, I was going to learn to do less, and be happy about it, goddammit. I am still new to the enlightenment path, and I would categorize myself as spiritually curious but heavily down-to-earth (though still pretty weird).
Now, I am exploring what it means to be me and what is Enlightened, Apparently. I have a degree in marketing and a nearly a decade of experience to go with it. I’ve done a little bit of this, and a little bit of that, but usually a bunch of everything when it comes to marketing (if you’re not sure which department it goes to, good chance it’s going to marketing). I am a scrappy person and have been able to teach myself enough to be dangerous (jack-of-all trades, master-of-none, still much better than master-of-one).
Nothing lights my fire quite like helping other businesses grow and reach the potential they are destined to reach (and helping other people in general). My passion with marketing has always been about creativity and growing developing businesses and now my passion has gotten a lot closer to home. I can’t wait to continue on the road and see what Enlightened, Apparently can achieve and can’t wait to take that road with you as well!
I am open about my journey in hopes it helps others, even just a tiny bit. I hope you take this journey with us.
